  1. And hello yet again, Rachel, haha. I just wanted to compliment you on the layout/design of your blog! The background is gorgeous, with the raindrops on the window looking out, and the colors you picked for the background to your posts, the fonts, and the headers all go together wonderfully. Your blog layout is uncluttered, with the label widget easy to find and the blog itself easy to navigate. It all contributes to a cohesive blog, with a very distinctive atmosphere. Great choices!

  2. Hi Rachel!

I like the layout of your blog. The background you chose is pleasing to the eye, which makes reading your blog more enjoyable. I personally think rain is kind of soothing, while others hate the rain. I think that the light blue type color you chose works well because it's easy to read with the background. The layout is organized well and is easy to navigate. The black box also helps the posts stand out. Good job!

  3. Hi Rachel,

I just re-read your comment about my story "Botanical Remedy," and wanted to thank you for providing both specific praise and advice. It was helpful to know what "works," so I appreciated your honesty on both fronts.

Also, I'm glad that the "little details" stuck out to you. I love to include things like that precisely because of what you said - they allow us to "visualize the story."

    Best,

    Cole

  4. What is up Rachel!? This is my first time at your portfolio, so I am excited to see what you have written. I like that you have little description for each of your story. That helped me pick which one I wanted to read. I think I'm going to read The Perfume Fiasco, just cause it sounds kind of silly, and I just got back from New York and I don't even know what day it is. Yay! Wait, your cat is amazing. Professor, is one of the best cat names I have heard in a long time! The modern take of this story is great. I think I like it better when the stories only take bits a pieces from the original. Because, let's be honest, they were written forever ago and not that exciting. You jazzed this one up well! Congrats! Great job on this fantastic addition to your portfolio! Well done!

  5. Hey Rachel! I'm from the Indian Epics class and stumbled upon your portfolio! Great job on your stories. I thought they were so interesting! I especially enjoyed the one based off the cock, fox, and dog. I think there is a similar one called the lion, fox, and the stag which was pretty much the same storyline. I liked how you replaced it with humans to twist the story up a bit! That was very interesting. I also enjoyed the story of Sinbad... pretty cool that you made the story up with no intention to plan it out! You are so creative. I enjoyed reading all of your stories. So far I haven't seen any grammatical errors. I also really like your layout! I liked the mountain background... kinds gives me the feel of a cold weather kind of thing. Overall very good job on your stories! Keep up the good work. Wish I can read some more stories but the class is almost over!
